〈Cannonball〉是Damien Rice是根據個人經驗寫的。這是關於生活的諷刺，以及學習了解生活的一切如何繼續經歷和生活常常會發生與我們的願望完全相反的事情。他經歷了一段關係，事情進展得太快了，而他希望事情進展得更慢，因為他擔心自己可能會失去一切。他覺得自己無法控制一切，這種關係就像砲彈一樣，隨時可能散開。
